The business was dreamed up by Michelle and Joanna, two Northerners with a love of the land and former businesses thwarted by the 2020 global events. They both share experience and expertise in health and well being, gardening, creativity, and a deep reverence for nature and outdoor living, enthused by finding enchantment and wonder in the everyday. At their backs they had friends and extended families that lived and volunteered on the Port Eliot Estate for almost two years.

With the changing season came fresh ideas for the duo and Joanna's love of books bought her the desire to spread her wings and leave this wonderful thing they created with a sense of pride and achievement. She does this with the love, gratitude and support of us all.
Stepping into the breach, Matt became an equal partner in the business with Michelle. Both deciding the business needed to evolve, a name change was in order and what was once Reciprocity now became The Stables at Port Eliot.

The dream has always been about creating a destination fueled by the magic of Port Eliot, and with that kind of magic our plans to open an Ale House and a Deli counter are well under way.
